Sara Suzuki is the maker behind Peko’s Chokotto Wagashi, where traditional Japanese sweets are crafted as edible expressions of seasonality, artistry, and care.

While studying in Japan, Sara spent time in Kyoto, where she was first introduced to the quiet beauty of wagashi—Japanese confections that reflect nature, impermanence, and the changing seasons. Drawn to the craft, she began taking independent and outside classes, learning through hands-on study and continued practice.

Using traditional techniques, Sara handcrafts wagashi entirely from scratch with all-natural ingredients and colors. Her work honors classical forms while allowing space for personal expression and thoughtful design.

Through workshops, demonstrations, and collaborations, Sara shares wagashi not simply as dessert, but as a cultural and artistic experience meant to be savored slowly and mindfully.

Each piece is made by hand, in small batches, with respect for tradition and the moment it represents.
